With the global political situation being in a state of "unknown consequences" given the UK "Brexit", the US election of Trump and what looks like the beginning of a complete realignment in US/China/Russia relations, and now Italy possibily looking at leaving the EU and restarting its own currency, not to mention the Denmark situation, it is no wonder that the financial climate is to say the least, volatile.
World Indices are hovering around their historic highs, are we heading for bright sunny uplands or dark deep valleys of depression. The truth is nobody knows.
If you are mostly in cash at the moment, aside from special situations, you might consider maintaining that view.
